Schodack CSD was delighted to welcome Robert and Carol Horan, parents of late Superintendent Bob Horan, on May 8 to discuss a scholarship they are creating in honor of their son.
During their visit, administrators gave Mr. and Mrs. Horan a tour of Maple Hill High School and the Capital Project renovations that were part of Bob Horan’s vision.
The Horans also asked to see the Bob Horan Memorial Water Fountain, a fountain for guests and their dogs near the High School track that the late superintendent always wanted.
“They are great people and an absolute delight to be around. You can see where Bob got his kindness, thoughtfulness and good humor,” said Superintendent Jason Chevrier. “Their visit made us all think a lot about Bob and brought up a lot of memories and emotions.”
